What are your hours of operation?

The centre is open from 07:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Thursday and from 07:00 to 16:30 on Fridays.

Do you close during school holidays?

No, as a day care centre we are open all year round and only close over the Festive Season.

Is the staff qualified?

We pride ourselves that our staff is suitable qualified and has nationally recognised qualifications, from some of the leading educational institutions in Cape Town.

Is the Centre registered / accredited?

The Centre is registered with the Department of Social Development as an NPO (107 069) and with SARS as a PBO (9300 46694).

The Centre is registered as an Early Childhood Development (ECD) Provider for 115 toddlers between the ages of 3 and 6 years.

The Centre is furthermore registered as an Independent School with the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) to offer Grade R classes.

What are your facilities like?

After being in operation for 40 years the centre has progressively developed and continues to improve its physical facilities, in order to respond to, and support the required educational needs.  The playrooms are well equipped with the required infrastructure, equipment, educational toys and learning material.

The facilities are complemented by a library area, together with the required educational technology, such as computer facilities that are geared at the appropriate developmental level.

Do you have enough outdoor playground and equipment?

Ample playground space is significant of the centre, together with well-maintained outdoor equipment.

What is your Unique Selling Proposition?

Over the years the centre has established itself as one of the most progressive and leading Early Childhood Development Centres in the community.  The centre maintains a high degree of child centredness and the provision of sound early childhood training and development is placed uppermost.  A lot of attention is paid to what is happening in the class/playroom.  The afore-mentioned is achieved through careful planning, preparation, weekly themes, lesson planning and daily execution, together with regular monitoring and evaluation.

What clothes should my child wear?

Your child may wear anything, provided it is comfortable and practical.  It is advisable that children should not wear new or party clothes – they must feel free to participate wholeheartedly in the daily activities.

What else is there that my child would need?

On a daily basis an extra set of clothing must be placed in his/her bag in case of mishaps during the day.  Weekly a clean sheet, which will be send home on Fridays for a wash and quarterly a new facecloth, toothbrush, apron and a blanket during the winter months. All items, including clothing, must be clearly marked with your child’s name.

My child is not well, what should I do?

You are requested not to send your child to the centre when he/she is sick.  Any irregularity in your child’s health should be reported to the principal as early as possible.

Do I need to provide my child a snack or lunch?

No, we will provide your child with healthy snacks, and a lunch daily.  Our daily menu has been developed by a dietician in order to ensure that we provide a healthy balanced meal.

May I give my child some sweets and chips to take along?

You should note that your child receives well balanced meals at the centre.  You are therefore requested not to send your child to the centre with food parcels, packets of chips, etc. and definitely no sweets.  Healthy eating habits are to be inculcated and fruit is highly recommended.
