Decent Work Country Programme for South Sudan 2023 - 2025

The International Labour Organization (ILO) and its constituents in South Sudan, namely the Ministry of Labour (MoL), South Sudan Workers Trade Union Federation (SSWTUF) and Employers Association of South Sudan (EASS) have been engaging and consulting towards development of the country’s first-generation DWCP since 2011. A draft DWCP was developed in 2013 but its validation and finalization were halted by political conflict, which erupted in December 2013. The process was reactivated in April 2015, culminating in a series of stakeholder engagements and ILO technical missions. The renewed efforts yielded a revised draft DWCP that was validated by tripartite partners in November 2015.
