Promoting the Global Development Initiative with a Focus on South-South Cooperation in Employment in ASEAN
The Project seeks to enhance collaboration between China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) to promote South-South cooperation among ASEAN Member States in the areas of employment, public employment services, and entrepreneurship development.

Reduced Vulnerability of Returnee Migrant Workers through Linkages to Employment Opportunities and Integration into Local Economic Development in Response to COVID-19
The project focuses on facilitating returned migrant workers to take up existing wage employment opportunities; and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, MSMEs and local economic development through strengthened local production and services.

Supporting resilience of Lao MSMEs in response to COVID-19
The ILO and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation join forces to promote resilience for Lao PDR’s micro, small and medium enterprises from COVID-19. Project implementation is planned from April 2021 to May 2022 together with Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The Project aims to promoting regular and safe labour migration among South East Asian countries in fishing and seafood processing sectors.

UN Joint Programme “Leaving no one behind: Establishing the basis for social protection floors in Lao People's Democratic Republic”
The UN Joint Programme will support the Government of Lao People's Democratic Republic to strengthen the national social protection system, through building of national capacities, improvement of public finance management, and piloting of a social assistance programme for pregnant women and new born children.

Migration
Safe and Fair: Realizing women migrant workers’ rights and opportunities in the ASEAN region
The project is part of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative to eliminate violence against women and girls, a global, multi-year initiative between the European Union and United Nations. Safe and Fair is implemented through a partnership between the ILO and UN Women, in collaboration with UNODC, with the overriding objective of ensuring that labour migration is safe and fair for all women in the ASEAN region.
Cooperatives to Strengthen Youth Empowerment and Employment Readiness among Vulnerable, Marginalised and At-Risk Groups
Young people in Cambodia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic face specific challenges in accessing the labour market. For those in employment, many are in poor quality and low-paid jobs. The project aims to build institutional capacities to deliver innovative and value-added services with a special focus on employment readiness/foundational skills empowerment, and cooperative development for marginalized and at-risk youth.

National Rural Employment Strategy in Lao People's Democratic Republic towards increasing opportunities for decent and productive employment in rural areas
At the request of the Government of Lao People's Democratic Republic, and aligning with the United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPF) for Lao People's Democratic Republic (2017-21) and the ILO Decent Work Country Programme for Lao People's Democratic Republic (2017-21), the ILO has been working to develop an approach to reducing poverty through promoting employment in the rural areas.
Fostering an Enabling Environment for Livelihoods Development in Vulnerable and At Risk Communities through Entrepreneurship and Microenterprise Skills
This project has set out to provide technical support to institutions and organizations implementing the C-BED programme by developing the capacity of partners to provide, sustain, and scale up interventions that improve livelihoods opportunities and decent work in vulnerable and at risk communities through entrepreneurship and micro-enterprise development.
