The Covid-19 pandemic has had dramatic implications on the workspace in Eswatini according to findings from ILO report
For enterprises, the pandemic has been characterized by almost unparalleled disruption, forcing them to adapt to new circumstances almost overnight. Enterprises have had to alter and adjust their operations and production processes, human resource strategies, work modalities and many other aspects of their businesses. This report explores the pandemic-era experiences of Eswatini enterprises in four key areas: (1) the working space; (2) workplace relations; (3) skills development, knowledge sharing and productivity; and (4) human resources.

AU, ILO and UNICEF mark the World Day against Child Labour in Africa
The African Union, ILO and UNICEF organized a virtual Continental event to mark the World Day against Child Labour. The event brought together key actors, to discuss strategies to address child labour, taking a holistic and systemic approach based on the 2020 Global Estimates on Child Labour and related recommendations, which had been launched by the ILO and UNICEF on 10 June.

African cooperative leaders share their observations on the 2017 ILO/JCCU study tour in Japan
The 8th edition of the ILO/Japanese Consumers' Cooperative Union (JCCU) Study Tour for African Cooperative Leaders took place in Japan from 29 August to 6 September 2017 with participants from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Swaziland and representatives from ICA Africa and ILO COOP Unit. ILO COOP interviewed the participants on their observations of the study tour and the next steps they would like to take in applying these observations. African cooperative leaders explore the diverse businesses of Japanese cooperatives
From 29 August to 6 September, The 8th ILO/JCCU study tour was organized in Tokyo and Shizuoka, Japan. This year four participants from Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Swaziland and representatives of ICA Africa and ILO COOP Unit joined the tour to explore the Japanese cooperatives’ activities across a range of sectors.
