Africa marked the World Day Against Child Labour in Africa and the Day of the African Child!

The African Union, ILO and UNICEF held a virtual Continental event to mark the World Day against Child Labour. The event brought together key actors, who discussed strategies to address child labour, taking a holistic and systemic approach based on the 2020 Global Estimates on Child Labour and related recommendations, which had been launched by the ILO and UNICEF on 10 June.

Atelier National Tripartite sur la Discrimination en Matière d’Emploi et de Profession au Togo Lomé, mai 2012

L’atelier vise à permettre à l’Etat et aux partenaires sociaux de disposer d’éléments de réflexion pertinents en vue de l’adoption et de la mise en œuvre d’une stratégie et d’un plan national de lutte contre la discrimination en matière d’emploi et de profession. Plus spécifiquement, l’atelier cherche à : - Améliorer les connaissances des mandants tripartites sur les différentes formes de discrimination ; - Informer et sensibiliser les intéressés sur les instruments internationaux pertinents sur la discrimination dans l’emploi et la profession, notamment la C n°100 et la C n°111 de l’OIT ; - Créer un consensus fort autour de la question en vue de l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre d’une stratégie et d’un plan d’action de lutte contre la discrimination.
